Best I could do with the drugs I'm on. But if you really really don't want to use SCC then this is the next best thing. It may take a while to set up, but we're here to help ya out. WFB is a very cool program and can be used to create simple contact forms and a whole lot more, as you can see.

Gunsmoke,

I tried this suggestion with great anticipation:

Or you can find the graphics on your hard drive (somewhere around /documents/CoffeeCup Software/Shopping Cart/Images and create your own image the same size as the existing image, then name it the same and replace the theme image. A lot of work, but it works.

But it didn't work. I can't figure out why. The new image is showing in the file but its not showing up in the software. Any guesses?

BTW, don't know if this is important but...I saved it as a png because that was the original file format from what i can tell

Thank you.

Also...is this important? I'm only looking at in the preview. I haven't published my store yet. Would only looking at in preview matter?

Thank you again.

Hi Michelle,

It shouldn't matter if you are in preview mode or not if you changed the image and put it in the original folder where the scc files are in it should reflect your changes.

This process gets sooooooo much easier if you purchased the Shopping Cart Designer.

Okay, step by step...Make sure to backup your theme files before any modifications are made!

Your Theme files should be in /documents/coffeecup software/shopping cart/Themes...

In that directory you will see the options for your themes.
If I want to modify a Pro Themes - 1024px then double click that folder.
Inside you will find all your pro theme styles as .SCT files.
I'm going to modify Notebook.sct
1. rename that theme to Notebook.zip
2. unzip it. If you need a zip utility, CoffeeCup has a free one: http://www.coffeecup.com/zip-wizard/
3. delete or rename that original zip file
4. Navigate to the directory where you unzipped the files
5. Navigate to /files/related/images/styler
6. find the file you want to replace and check the file size. ex. the header.png is 960x196
7. Replace that file with one of your own the same size.
8. Navigate back to the folder where you unzipped the files to
9. You should see a descriptor file and the folder /files
10. Zip that file and folder back into a .zip file
11. Copy the .zip file you created back to the /documents/coffeecup software/shopping cart/Themes/Pro Themes - 1024px folder
12. rename that file to Notebook.sct ( or whatever file you are working with)

Go back to SCC or SCCP and open your shop. Load the theme you modified and you should see your new graphic. You do not have to upload the shop. You will see your changes in the preview. Note that if you do not create and change the 'thumb' image that when you select the theme it will still look like the original theme, although your changes will show up after you load it and preview it.

Let me know if you need more help. I'm fixing to get some steroid shots in the neck in the morning so I'm really not up to doing a video right now. If you still have problems, perhaps this weekend. Let us know how it goes.

Hmmm...too late on the backup...where's the emoticon for "idiot"?

Gunsmoke, thanks so very much for the tutorial! I'll have to try it next week when I have a bit more time. I know I'll have to really concentrate to get it to work. You'll hear from me then.

Again, many thanks.

Thank you much, and I may have a video done by next week. You're not the only one that has asked for this.
