What data files to back up

I've installed CC HTML Editor on a new computer and need to know where the system/program files that store my ftp (right click on document, upload to server) server info is stored?
I would think this would be a popular search, but I couldn't find anything in the forums.
Thanks
Tim

I am not sure if I completely understand what it is you are asking for? What ftp information? Are you wanting just to know which html files you need or where your projects folder is located? :)

In order to transfer everything related to the editor from your old to new machines, including FTP servers, toolbar settings, projects etc. there are a few different locations to look at. First, there are some files under your user application data folders then some registry entries and finally the program files folder.

This is how I would do it:

Install CCHTML on the new machine. Copy the entire contents of the CCHTML folder from your old machine's program files (or wherever you installed it) and paste them into the new machine's program files folder (or wherever you installed it), overwriting all found files. Then, depending on your operating system, you need to find the application data files. If using XP, look under Documents and settings\username\application data\Coffeecup software\Coffeecup html editor\settings and copy all files and folders to the new machine's corresponding location. If using Vista/7, the files will be in User\Appdata\Roaming\Coffeecup software\Coffeecup html editor\settings. Note that these files and folders may be hidden so you may have to change your view settings to show hidden files. I am also going from memory so on the XP machine, the files may be in another sub-folder called Documents and settings\username\local settings]\application data so you may have to look for them. They will be in either one or the other locations on an XP machine.

Copying these files should have all your project, toolbars, extra programs and other settings. The FTP settings are, I believe, in the following registry hive:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup HTML Editor\Profiles

If you open regedit and find this hive, you can right-click on it and export it, then simply import it on the new machine to transfer server settings.

Hope this helps.

Dave.
