Hey everyone,

First I want to say a giant Goodyear Blimp sized thank you to all of you who tested the prerelease version of the HTML Editor and gave us so much valuable feedback.

Now, as the title of the thread says — the new HTML Editor is here!

You can go check it out now. Also, please have a look at the new layout of the HTML Editor homepage and let us know what you think. We're working hard to make everything better around here, and your feedback helps.

I truly hope you enjoy our latest creation. Now, go forth and make Websites. :D

It's all excellent, really good.

Like the page and the software.

Only one more thing I would like to see is a larger bundle of the templates to go with the html editor instead of all the smaller bundles.

Some might like to have the full set as a valuable resource.

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post an install error, but thought others may run into the same issue so here it is.

Downloaded and installed CC HTML Ed 2009. Install failed on Vista 32 with an error message that a Windows file was missing. Had to download a DHMTL (active x?) extension for Vista to get CC HTML Ed 2009 to work. Vista opened a link that provided exactly the file was needed (DhtmlEd.msi) from the Microsoft download site.

After that, CC HTML Ed ran fine. The revision looks good.

Am I correct to assume it is not necessary to uninstall the old version before installing the new, since you didn't mention it as on the prerelease

Yes, we do suggest that you fully uninstall any previous version of the HTML Editor before installing the latest version. This will ensure that there are no software conflicts.

I also recommend that you backup the C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Working folder if you have anything stored in there.

Wow that is very strange. No idea why that would have happened. What service pack of Vista are you using? I am glad you got it working though ;)

Looks very good! :)

I noticed the Office look style and would like to know if it's possible to set it to a different color style. For example, now it's Office2003 Blue but it would be nice to change it to Office2007 Luna style.

HELP!!!

I failed to uninstall CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2008 before I installed the 2009 version! When I realized what I had done, I uninstalled the 2009 version using the rollback option. It was my hope to then uninstall the 2008 version, but Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit) Remove Programs Feature would not allow me to remove it saying that it had already been removed. However, this is not the case seeing that I am able to open the 2008 version still. I do not know what to do now. Please HELP me as I am to use your new version and am eager to start a new project with it! Your software is great -- my foolishness is not!

Thank you in advance,

David

Scott,

I'm using Vista x32 with SP2. It was a fresh install a couple months ago and CC HTML Ed was not previously loaded. The Microsoft webpage for the download is here and may give you some more information.

Thanks,
