Thanks for your help, Eric and Jo Ann. I don't know how that happened either but, if that's the case, I guess I'll try again with the HTML Editor. I'm not familiar with either CSS or JavaScript so I wouldn't have known the difference. I appreciate both of you helping me out with this.

Back to the drawing boards for me. I also appreciate everybody's patience with me for asking all these questions.

Take Care,
Sheila

That javascript code is generated by the DHTML Menu program. It was used by older versions of the HTML Editor, but the latest version, a free upgrade, uses CSS menus.

Thanks, Cary. I must be really losing it. I would have sworn I made it in HTML Editor unless I don't have the latest version. I'll try updating my version of the editor but can you tell me if I have to uninstall the other version first? Also, if I have to uninstall, I assume I'd lose all my settings too, wouldn't I?

I appreciate your input. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how I got anything other than CSS coding. LOL.

Take care,

Sheila

Sorry but it's me again. I just went to the menu designer in my current version of HTML Editor and the title at the top of the creation box is CSS Menu Designer. Now I'm totally confused. Is the trial version different from the purchased version in the coding? I am using the trial version to see how and if it works well for me before buying. Could that be the problem?

Thanks.

Sheila, first you dont have to apologize for posting in the forum, that is what its for. Second, do you have any of this uploaded yet so we can view all of the code to see what the heck is going on?

Thanks Eric. I just published in the other forum to let you know my site is thewritesolutionsnow.com. I republished the whole site again to get the proper coding back. Now the search works fine but the Chat has to be corrected again. I think some language is still in there for the Web Calendar I installed through my hosting company and that is what I suspect caused all this.

I appreciate any feedback you can give me. I have uninstalled the Calendar through Dot5Hosting.com but will probably have to manually remove the references to it. I just hesitate to do anything until I know for sure how and why it happened in the first place. Is it possible that the language for the menu was changed because it was entered into a page that already had JavaScript on it? Maybe that would explain why it worked fine until it went on my site.

Take care,

Sheila

I do have some information for you, but I would rather not post it. Let me know when you will be available on your chat.

Thanks Eric. I'm going to aim for 7:30 this evening to have the chat operational again. I look forward to speaking to you later.

I'm afraid I don't know the answers to either of these questions, as the 2009 version is the first version I have installed on my computer.

That's odd, but it sounds like that is the case.
