When i load the page into the editor at first, the preview is fine and my page looks fine in all kinds of browsers

But after using code cleaner, text size has changed, the text in my heading has moved and i is the same i browsers.

I can see no reason why this has happened.

Att least Cofeecop should give a waning if the design is destroyed.

I'm going back to my old HTML-editor again. :-(

Wasn't it the 'old HTML-editor' you were using for your site? I found this meta tag:

The code cleaner in CoffeeCup HTML Editor will only clean according to the settings you make.

I have downloaded cofeecop HTML 2008 editor today to see if I could reformat my text source in it.

But if Cofeecop destroys text because it has been edited in other editors, beeing a program racist ;-), I will just find other solutions.

Is there an option in the "code cleaner" that does not change the text, but only moves it around?

The programe is new and all options are at default settings.

I don't care about licences, I'm just a CoffeeCup user as yourself, only I've been with them a bit longer perhaps

The CC HTML Editor does not 'reformat' text automatically, unless you do it yourself. The only thing is, if you use the 'visual mode', some code may be changed. I strongly recommend to use the 'code mode', then the programme will not do anything 'funny', it just does what you type into it.

I posted a question to the developers last night about your problem. I don't know if markup from one site builder can be interpreted differently by another, that was one of my questions. But being the weekend, I have had no reply so far. I guess we'll have to wait until America wake up today.

Some versions back I tried Stone's software for a while and found it ok, so I really don't know what the reason for your problems is.

The Code cleaner in CC HTML Editor by default changes i.e. the Scandinavian letters æ, ø and å to &aelig;, &oslash; and &aring;, then it breaks lines of code after 66 characters (but that has no impact on the look of the site), and corrects / to \ if there are any /s in your document, and by default it converts the charset to Ascii (but that can be set to UTF8 under 'Document' in Code Cleaner). That's more or less it.

I use the Code cleaner a lot, since I frequently make sites in Norwegian and German, and I never had any problems with it. But I also build the sites with CC Html Editor, hence my questions to CC staff about the interpretation.

One thing I thought of; I guess the URL you quoted in your first post here is to the correct page, not the one you got after applying Code Cleaner. Could you upload the result you have AFTER code cleaner, maybe call the page test.html or something, so that we can see the differences in the code?
