I'm using the HTML Editor Version 2008 build 242 on a Windows XP OS. I'm encountering a situation and I'm not sure what to do?

The editor is installed on my 'C:' drive and I'm working from the "Working" folder in the same directory. The problem is that every 5 to 10 seconds something is updating and stopping me from doing any edits. I get the "hour-glass" and I am forced to wait for several seconds before any commands I may have been working on are performed. I've searched thru the Help and Tools sections and have found nothing that could possibly be causing this or how to stop it. Is there some 'flag' I can set to tell the Editor to ignore any disk refreshes/updates going on?

By the way, this is not happening on any other software app; only the C.C. HTML Rditor is affected.

Thank you;

I would suggest updating to the latest version first and see if that helps.

This could be literally anything on your machine. Can you run the task manager and check if it is the cc editor process using all the CPU/resources when it happens? There is nothing I know of (like auto-saving etc.) that is scheduled during use so without an in-depth look at your machine there is not much we can do except guess.

Dave.
