If i had many pages open how would I run the code cleaner so all open pages would be cleaned? So far it seems i have to go page by page...a slow process since I have many pages open. thanks

also in code cleaner is there a way to make indent yes the default selection? It defaults to no everytime. And the doctype I want it to stay on loose and utf-8 for character coding.

I think you have discovered the limitations of the cleaner function - perhaps you should put in a feature request.

Hi
Usually I don't use the code cleaner but after reading the post i went to try it again. For me the main issues is the system do not fix the setting I choose and it was nice after doing the cleaning all the changes be highlighted with a pop-up asking for confirmation.
And.. i need to use code cleaner often....

I can't even use it, when I do use it on a Layout it messes up the layout every time lol, not just the code layout but the actual site layout gets changed all over the place. I'll take some time one of these days and see just what it's doing and try to post that info so that maybe we can find out what is wrong with it :P

The cleaner will remove what it sees as wrong/redundant tags and other elements and will correct coding to be compatible with the stated doctype and web conventions.

It will also reformat the html code into nice, logical blocks; most of this behaviour can be changed in the cleaner options though. It is a pity it doesn't list the changes made (like some other editor's code cleaners) because this would be a valuable learning tool as well; if something is changed/fixed/cleaned, why?

More often than not after running the code cleaner, I find myself hitting 'undo', so it is not a very useful tool for me.

Dave.
