I am running the editor on XP with normal user rights.
In that case I get the above mentioned error message when I try to use the Find function.

I can run the editor as administrator, then there's no problem.
Is there solution to fix this problem?

Sounds like a bug of some sort to me, I wouldn't think that the search feature would "require" administrator rights, but setting it that way in compatibility settings would probably fix the issue itself. I would first try uninstalling it, cleaning out any folder residue (other than themes you have installed separately that is) and then reinstall it and see if that fixes the issue. If not I would then suggest you open a ticket with Support, because this isn't a typical thing at all.

Running XP you should not have any problems running the editor. It may work to uninstall then reinstall, however, as suggested you could have a bug.

I have solved the problem by installing the program in a map outside "program files"
So as C:\coffeecup Software.
A reinstal on the old place under Program Files gave the same problem again.

So I still think it has to do something with access rights.

Anyway the program looks running normal now

Glad to hear it's working for you now Peter, I too was going to do that but I wasn't sure if some of the other programs I used have to have any of the files so I didn't do it lol. I use a lot of CC software these days and the Editor is the only one that doesn't install into it's own separate directory, haven't figure out why that is yet, asked a couple times but no response so I just forgot about it lol.

It could be a permissions issue; you can confirm or deny by trying to reset permissions on the folder. If using XP home, boot in Safe Mode (F8 during system POST/Boot) and browse to that folder. Right-click and choose the security tab (which is invisible in XP home in 'normal mode') and ensure your user name is assigned either ownership rights (preferable) or at least full access by highlighting your name in the list and making sure the full access box is checked. If your name isn't there, you will have to click on 'Edit', 'Add', 'Advanced' then 'Find Now'. Once you spot your username in the list of available names, select it and add it by clicking the appropriate OK and Apply buttons. Close all folder security properties before reopening them and making sure you now have full access. If not, simply select it.

If using XP Pro, the security tab will be visible in normal mode so safe mode isn't required.

Just my 2 cents.

Dave.
