Multiple Youtubes on one page problem

Hi Everyone :)

Im having a problem loading multiple youtubes onto a single page:

1 If i just insert one video, there is no problem. But, if I copy and paste the video and then change the 2nd and subsequent videos url then all videos are the same when previewed, even though all the YT urls are different!

2 If I don't copy an paste an existing video, but enter a new one from the content menu, then enter the YT url, all the vidoes do not show at all, just white space when previewed or uploaded to the web.

Doesn't seem to be an easy way to show 2 or more YT's on one page. Anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks everyone :)

I am not able to reproduce this issue the way you are describing. Are you able to make a screen video to show the exact steps?

Barry, which browser are you using?

Two or more videos display fine for me, using FFx.

One thing worth trying would be giving the videos a different ID.

Using FF50 and Opera, IE, Chrome, all show the same results. I found out some more though:

1 If you copy and paste the video containers and change the YT url, the code does not update properly as when you enter the video for the first time, the FF software creates two separate references to the video in the html. If you copy and paste this video in order to have a 2nd vid on the page and then change the url, the FF software updates only one of those references to the video, so when previewed or uploaded, both videos will be the same.

2 Adding different ID's to each video (after they were all set up individually, no copy and paste) did not solve the problem either. I got around this by using HTML Elements instead and putting the 'Embed' code from youtube in there. Worked anyway.

I don't know if I'm explaining that very well. Sorry Scott cant make a video to show exactly whats going on. Perhaps if you try to replicate this by first entering a YT vid, then copy and pasting it, changing the YT url to another vid, you will see the problems, not sure.

Thanks for the response and feedback guys

Barry,

Are any of your elements set up as a symbol? That might keep the elements the same.

Hi Jeff
I have the nav and footer set up as symbols. Im trying to inset the vids in the main body though. No symbols in the main body, Do you think my nav and footer may be the problem?

I wouldn't think so unless the video elements were somehow going into the symbols which I doubt.

You could try using the html element instead of the video element to see if that works for you. I have a video that covers using the html element to get extra options on your videos which might be a added bonus. Maybe test it to see if it works?
