Just posted an article here at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … e-designer which I think will help many of our customers learn how to use Visual Site Designer more effectively.

Let me know what you think. ;)

Good illustration there, Scott. That can be easy for new VSD users to miss, they may think just because the actual text isn't overlapping another item, all is well. Got to watch out for those boxes touching or overlapping to avoid things looking wonky in the browser :o

Thumbs Up!

This is really good, Scott. Been using VSD for several years now and must confess I've done the over lap thing a bunch of times trying to emulate wrapping text around images like I used to do in Quark when I published a magazine. Bits and bytes online are so persnickety! Good job on the article.

Let me respectfully say i would love to find a way to get the older version back. i've spent way too much time fiddling with quarks of the upgraded program.

the text continues to wrap regardless of what is done. that includes following your instructions in the posted web page.

I've been a huge fan of Coffeecup and have bought a windows computer strictly for the web design. ( I'm a Mac Guy )

I'll be the first to admit I use VSD as I'm not a programmer. Excellent product and quite enjoyed the support over the years. However, this latest update is a problem. I had a great looking site with no challenges until I downloaded the newest version.

I've even tried different fonts. The only font that worked was courier new. others had different affects on the page.

I love Coffeecup, so don't get me wrong that i'm jumping ship. But I can't be the only person who's experiencing this. Is there a place to download the older version?

Thank you :-)

Hiya Andy,

I would suggest you either open a support ticket to see if the team can give you a hand or even post a link with some more specifics to tell people what the exact issue is and maybe they can help you get on track with the newer version. Give them a chance to see if they can help and if not I'm sure if you beg the powers that be (that would probably be Scott lol) he'll most likely give you a link to the old version. I would really suggest you try working with the new one though as eventually the support will disappear for the old versions and they do have another update coming next week from what I've been reading.
