Hey

I´ve all the CoffeeCup applications installed on my computer. But when I try to launc ex. FormBuilder through the Toolbox Bottum in VSD, i just get the "download" message. It´s the same problem with all the others Toolbox buttoms for other app in VSD. How do I get the applications to work together ?

For those to work, the applications have to be installed to the default locations. If you install them into anything other then Program Files \ they will not function.

Thanks Scott.

But i´ve installed alle the programs in the folder that coffeecup recommanded - In my case, the programs is installed in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer
C:\Program Files (x86)\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Web Calendar
C:\Program Files (x86)\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Web Form Builder

...etc

My system is Vista (64-bit) - could that be a problem ??

Please write the normal path, on witch CoffeeCup install the program as default - And then I´ll try to install it on the eksaktly same path.

Thanks for your support, so far.

The path you posted is not the correct path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ , See the (X86) It must be in C:\Program Files

Thanks again, Scott.

My problem is solved. Everythings works.
The Danish version of windows, never use the path that you wrote, but it always put the programs in C:\programmer.

Windows Vista use the (x86) in the path - for some reasons I don´t know.

ANYWAY - My programs now works together :-)

Thanks for your support

Scott,

My software is in the c:/program files and my html program still sends me to the website to download. Does this launch work on trail software too, I own HTML Editor but wanted to try out the Web Form Builder before buying it.

Hey John. The original post was regarding VSD.
However, I checked out HTML Editor 2008 (registered) w/ a trial & registered of Web Form Builder and it seems the link in the following image will always take you to the web site:
http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/adam/images/HTMLEditor2008_FormBuilderLink1.jpg

However, under Tools, you can add shortcuts to applications:
http://www.coffeecuphelp.com/adam/images/HTMLEditor2008_FormBuilderLink2.jpg
To do that, you go to Tools -> Preferences -> Applications tab and find the .exe files to launch the appropriate programs.
Default path for Web Form Builder is:
C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Web Form Builder\FormWizard.exe

I had very limited space on my C: drive so installed the entire suite of applications on D:, though if CoffeeCup wasn't so darn good then I might feel more aggrieved at finding out I need to go through the entire process again :o/

Probably good to include the ability to change the locations of any of the application defaults in future versions, or if not a simple warning in the GUI of application installers ;o)

All the best,

Brendan.

I keep many of my CC progs on my external drive, so I link to them using a shortcut on my "Start" menu. I also use a Yahoo widget called "LaunchIt" and have "nicknames" for the programs and can easily open them that way, too.

Yahoo widgets download to computer and use the "yahoo widget engine". I just love my widgets!
