I have used your software to publish sites on two other hosting services ----ipage and blue domino without this problem.
I published the website but can only see the background, none of the text or pictures.
When I contacted support for inmotion, this is what they said..........."it looks like there's a problem parsing the page. I looked it over quickly and noticed a syntax error that could be the cause. <script src="zIndexFixMb.js:></script>this line is missing a " quotes which could be causing problems throughout the rest of the document." They suggested I contact you with this information and see if you can help. He said it looks like a bug from when the site's pages are published. Thanks for any information you can give. I know you are taking time off so can wait until you have time to get back to me. Thanks.

Well, you inserted the code for that script. Just go back and edit the code. Should look just like this: <script src="zIndexFixMb.js"></script>

Found that code referenced at this page: http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/how-to-add-a-css-menu-to-visual-site-designer/

Let us know how it works after you make that change.

Making progress........that script change worked. Thank you. :)
Second problem...........the navigation menu shows up vertical rather than horizontal even though I chose the horizontal one at the first and it shows up that way in the menu builder program and when I preview it from the menu builder, it shows up correctly. I did my best to follow all your menu builder steps.................:(

I think you're missing some files for your menu. Or they are uploaded to the wrong place. Easy way to get this right using VSD...add the menu files to VSD.

Go to Edit/Add files from the top menu in VSD
Look at your hard drive where you exported your menu files.
<substitute what ever you named your menu for the [yourmenuname]>
Find the directory yourmenuname_exported
Inside that directory you should see an html file and another directory called yourmenuname
Go back to VSD and click the little plus at the bottom of the window to create a folder. Call it yourmenuname
Make sure that directory is highlighted in VSD and click the little plus sign again to create a sub-folder under yourmenuname
You'll need to create 3 sub-folders... images js stylesheets
After creating each one, click the little plus to 'add files' and add the files in each of those directories on your hard drive. Do this for all the directories and files in the _exported folder. Do not add the _exported folder, just the files and folders contained in it.
When you are finished you should be able to preview your site, with the menu. If it looks good to you, publish your site and VSD will upload all the menu files.

Let me know if this got way to confusing and maybe someone else can explain it better.

I'm having a similar problem with the web form builder. Seems like I should be able to upload the folder that has all the files, but it seems to want to only recognize individual files...........there are bunches....within subfolders and more subfolders........Any suggestion will be appreciated. I tried to follow the directions on the form builder. ..........thanks.

Yes, and no. You should only need to delete and re-add the files that change. It will depend on what you are changing in your menu. Best thing, if you are not sure, is to just delete all menu files using Edit/Remove Files and then add them again.

Sue, unfortunately with WFB there are a lot of files and folders. I use several forms with VSD and it would be a nightmare to add them all into VSD. Every time a change was made trying to figure out what changed and what didn't...I hate to even think about it. That said, what I do is export the form and then simply FTP the files to my server. The down side is that you cannot preview the form in VSD. You will still need to add the code that is generated to your VSD web site. Then upload the contents (files and folders) of the _exported folder that WFB creates. Do not upload the _exported folder itself, just the files and folders it contains. These will need to be uploaded to the server directory where the form will appear. Usually your root directory. Let me know if you need any more information.

mmmmmm.still something I'm missing.....I ftp the files to the server ( I can see them there in the correct folder/file) I added the code to the html box on VSD. I have tried linking to this (membership form) page several ways---- to the page itself and the the url (however, I'm not sure that address is correct. I'm thinking I should go to support at the host and ask them????

Looks like you have some strange characters in the name of your contact form. Resave your form under a name without spaces in the name.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
