I just publish my index page for the first time. I can't find it on my web server. Where did it go? Where is the FTP log that Publish creates?

Thanks

Hi Terry,
What's the website address?:)

Dbl check your ftp account setting for your server to make sure your publishing to the right folder.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I figured it out, didn't know when you clicked Publish it automatically moved it to the web server as a index.htm file.

all of a sudden after I publish, when I go to my website, it can't find the files??? they are on my server in a 'files/download' directory, but my site can't find them??? In fact a get the following error message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /files/Download/ on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Why? is there a DEBUG mode or a LOG file that get built when you publish to see where it put/thinks if put my files?????

Everything looks like it's working. Are you still having problems?

Only thing I noticed that (probably) will cause you trouble is that the PDF file name contains spaces. You need to rename it using dashes or underscores. Some servers will work with spaces, some will not. Some browsers will work, some will not. For best compatibility, get rid of the spaces. (Sorry, the 'Chatter' pdf file).

rab,
You have some stray images on your page that are only 1px by 1px. Go to your page and do a ctrl + a. This will select everything on the page and you should see a few small boxes outlined that you can get rid of.

Eric - Thanks I believe I got the stray images.

Now, could one of you please explain the "add files..." undef the Edit menu! I tried adding a directory for me Chatter.PDFs and my Calendar.PDFs and they were filled when I did a Publish, but then I click on one (under my Previous Chatters/Calendars, it goes to the files/download drectory???

What is the name of the directory that your adding? If it already exist on the server or if your trying to add files to the existing "files" directory that VSD uses then your going to have problems. You don't need to use the add files tool for adding PDF's. In VSD click on "Link" then on the link properties box that opens to the right select "Document" then browse to the proper pdf.
