Ok, I started from the begining and the slideshow works now in preview on VSD but will not work on the live s-drive site. The photo files are still missing, the format is all correct and everything visually looks good but the files are missing. I have checked the s-drive file list, they are present in the "jqueryslideshow" folder. I also added them to the file list individually just to see if that would help, no luck. It does work great in preview on VSD, something must be off somewhere. Also how do I make the slideshow loop, I assume the "autostop" in the header needs to be changed?
Thank you,
J

Change your image code to this.

You might want to reduce those images a bit to help with loading speed.

Thank you, when I'm live on the hosting server (godaddy, hosted with them until 2020) will it work with the standard image code as it is now "jqueryslideshow/ssopa_1.jpg" etc.
Any ideas on making the show
continuously replay?

Hi Eric,
Trying to set up a slideshow on my homepage using your code but it's not working. I see code but no slideshow. What am I doing wrong? http://keysofjoystudiocom.coffeecup.com/index.html

Never mind - I found the spaces that tripped up others and fixed them. Slideshow is beautiful now. Thanks for the code!
Glad it works John. Let us know if you need anything more.
PS. We all like Eric's codes! ( But don't tell him... )

Adding the .js file to root doesn't work, it just adds another root folder. I know how to add files manually to my host directory, but by root do you mean the root of my site that I'm adding the slide show to, or root where I keep all of my web sites on the ftp server?
That should be the root of your site folder. If your site is http://yourserver.com/yourwebsite then you should have a folder http://yourserver.com/yourwebsite/js and that is where you should put your .js files

I tried to edit this post and add more info, but I get a error 404 page not found when clicking on the edit button... either way, hopefully I can find a simpler way to add a slide show than this. Could not add a new folder to the root from within this program, it just adds another root folder. When I try to add the slide show files to the 2nd root folder, they all show up as more root folders. I don't see any way to make this work using this method as outlined. It says to resize the HTML box the size of your images, but my images are all different sizes but the same width. How would that work assuming I ever get that far.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
