Hi,

I don't have the "export" option under "File". Is it because I'm using a trial version of CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer ?

Thanks,

Hi

There is no export option. Just go to File/Save and that does it all. Make sure your on the latest version, 5.9.2

Thanks.

The problem I when I upload the site: the .vnu extension does not seem to be well understood by the browser ...

I have an index.htm homepage ... how do I turn my .vnu file into something understandable by the browser, something like the index.htm page ?

Thanks,

James

If you are not using the VSD built-in ftp, and using an external ftp like Direct FTP, or Filezilla, you would open your website folder( example: mywebsite_website) and upload only from the files folder down. The vnu is your template for the website you made in VSD.

I'm going to go ahead be an echo of the other posts, just to sum it up. VSD saves the project to a .vnu extension. This file is not to be uploaded, it's for VSD to keep your project settings saved. The files you want to uploaded are generated by VSD and saved in a folder beginning with the same filename you chose when saving the project. Like Bruce said, if you save your .vnu project file as "project," then the folder will be "project_website." Within that folder, you will find the html & other files you can upload with another FTP application or you can use VSD's built-in FTP to upload the site (easiest). The latest version (5.9.2) of VSD does a good job of synchronizing what's changed since your last edit of the website.

Now it's clear.

The key point I (and perhaps some other persons) was missing is the following:

"VSD saves the project to a .vnu extension. This file is not to be uploaded."

Thanks
