Hello! for some reason, I can no longer create links on any of the web pages to link to a document. I know the steps because I have done it so many times already, however, it will not work anymore. Referencing the above site, the page "Events" includes links that work just fine. On the page in question, http://mgardens.dadeschools.net/AAA.html , none of the links bring up the corresponding document. Ive deleted them many times, I upload the documents to the server, yet nothing seems to work. I tried to have the docs open in a new window as well as default setting... NOTHING works on that particular page.. I know that there are a few glitches (which is usuallty sorted out within a day or so), but I dont have access to the server so I have no way to verify the docs. HEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!

Try re-syncing your site.:)

Don't know if you fixed this or not, but most of your links are working for me. The only one that doesn't is M Gardens Revised RFA. The link for that is
http://mgardens.dadeschools.net/files/Download/Miami%20Gardens%20Narrative%202013-14%20Revised%20September%209%252c%202013%20Final%20RFA.docx

You really should not use 'spaces' in link names anymore. Different browsers will treat them differently. Some may work, some may not. When I highlighted this link there appeared to be some 'gibberish' (that's a technical term) after September. I would check that link for accuracy. The other links worked for me. But I would still get rid of the spaces.

@Gunsmoke thanks alot! Were you able to pull up the documents in a new window? i am using Chrome and IE, yet they both give me errors when I try all of the links on the page.

i have tried resyncing the site,
updating the software,
deleting and recreating, and
different browsers, yet the same thing... WHAT am I missing? :-/

Well, your files come up in my download helper, but I didn't actually open them. Tried that just now. Your district calendar I can download and open. The other links will not open. Just have to ask...are you sure the files exist on your server, in the location you specified? I would move them to a simple directory temporarily... /myfiles Change your links to look for them there. Change the filenames. Delete the spaces and use all lower case letters. See if that works and let us know.

In a dedicated folder I created in my documents to hold any docs or pics I need for this site. Should it be somewhere else?

No that should be fine. I just wanted to make sure you weren't linking to files inside your mywedsitename_website folder.

I found the one above the image of the lady holding the certificate was broke.
Try starting a new site then save it as test. Don't do anything to this site just start new and save then close VSD. Now reopen VSD and open your real site and republish.
