Hello All,

For some reason I can not figure out how to add my virtual tours to my under development web site using coffee cup.

I created my VIRTUAL TOURS using PTGui

I have very limited knowledge in HTML and FLASH so I am using the visual site designer but I cant get the virtual tours to move or anything..

Im not sure if i need to convert them to something else and or what other programs to use.

I know this is not something new.. so can some one please tell me exactly how, STEP by STEP using the visual site designer...

Do i use the "Add flash tool" ? or the "HTML Tool"? or something else?

If i could get a 360 virtual pano to move when i preview it on a live web page that would be great

my web site is www.uavimagery.com
Thank you

Hi,

I tried downloading the trial version software that you are using and it won't let you save to flash. To get your flash to work, try copying your html code into your VSD page using the html tool on the left side of VSD. Then use Settings>>Add Files>>Browse and add your flash file(will usually end with .swf). Now upload the site.

Hope this helps,

:)

I am a serious nob when it comes to html and flash so i am unclear on how i could get the html code from the virtual pano.

Could you supply me with the code and i could cut and past it and do i put it in the body or headder for the html tool

I have all the panos in a single folder, in MOV. format on my desktop but other then that i have no idea how to get it on my in progress web site. website

Is there anyone with experience with puting virtual panos on a web site? or a coffee cup rep that can help me out?

Thank you

Each flash file has it's own html code so I can't give that to you. You should check with the flash program that you are using find out where that code is placed and that's the code you need. After that, follow the above steps and it should work.

You say your moving panos are recorded as *.MOV (Quicktime) files. To include *.MOV (or any file) in your website, do as follows:

1 - make a button (a graphical object) on a page that is called 'moving pano' (example, :-). You can draw all kinds of objects on your page with the shapes tool, and add a button text (i.e. moving pano) inside it. You also could create a text object and write 'moving pano' inside it.
2 - Go to the 'link' icon and click on it. Be sure to activate the object that you want to give a link to beforehand. An object is activated when a blue border can be seen around it.
3 - In the link window, tick 'use link' and tick 'docum.' Docum. of course is short for document.
4 - Click on the ... rectangle next to 'docum.' A window opens where you can search for the pano.mov on your local HD and open it. Now this document is linked to the button.
5 - Now go to 'target' and click the arrow down symbol. You see 5 different ways to link the document to the button. Choose 'New Window (_blank)'. This will open a new window when somebody clicks your price list button: they don't leave your website this way, they don't have to use the back button of the browser to return to the price list page.

When you upload your website, the movie file file is uploaded too, automatically.

Linking files this way can be used for any file, be it a PDF file, a Word document, an MP3 song or whatever...

Here is an example: http://foto.jvanhulst.nl

Hope this helps!
