Hi Don, I will give you a quick tutorial on how to set up your publishing folders.

Step 1: Goto Publish and select FTP Account Settings.

Step 6: Click Save. You should now be able to just hit the publish icon on your VSD toolbar.

You can repeat these steps for each new website you upload. The only thing that should change from project to project will be the remote folder name.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the illustrations and instructions. I may use this when I talk with the techs at iPage again so they can see what I am referring to.

I've been on the phone with iPage again tonight and they say it is a technical issue with CoffeeCup, which I don't believe. Now one site that wouldn't open will open, but not with the pictures. And this is the one that never gave me trouble before. I'm getting sick of this whole thing.

Since the last post I was on the phone to a very patient tech at iPage for over three hours. This nutty thing has baffled everyone, but I hope this tech got it right.

Basically, we agree that the plain-Jane FTP that comes with Coffee Cup should be avoided. It was sending files to iPage that needed to be redirected when they got there. We finally had to delete everything at iPage and start over. Then, using the $39 CC Direct FTP and the File Manager and Domain Central in iPage we got it straight. We had to physically point the domains their content to the correct locations. Anything that had the CC VNU extension seemed to mess us up, and now it's all done with Index html.

I told them to take good notes and pass the info along if any other CC customers called with a similar problem. I've been on the phone in the middle of the night with an iPage tech for at least an hour the past several nights. Tonight it was an hour with one tech and three more hours with another. None of us has ever seen anything like this. But I hope it's straight now.

That makes no sense at all. You should be able to create a folder on your server. Once that folder is created and you setup your publishing settings it should work. Did you follow my instructions exactly? What part did you get stuck? What errors do you receive?

So it seems like a server issue to me. Glad things got straightened out.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

To Steve, yes I followed your advice. I even had two techs at iPage looking at this forum, studying your illustrations and reading everything you said. We never did get it to work that way.

The only thing that we could get to work was to completely delete everything in iPage and start over. They said part of the trouble was a formatting issue. We had to make sure that every index was in HTML.

Also, they would watch me FTP files over and once they got to iPage they would re-direct to odd places and folders. We had to delete everything I'd ever sent to iPage, and then use the CoffeeCup Direct FTP (not the ftp with the VSD) and check each folder and then re-point each one to the right place.

I've spent so many hours on the phone with tech support at iPage this week I can't count them. Of everything we tried, what I just described is the only thing we could find that worked. We even had some of the higher up techs look at it. Most blamed it on CC, but in the end it was clear that the CC files were getting to iPage, but they were being re-directed for some reason. I have some ideas about what happened, but too lengthy for here.

If you having that many issues with iPage, you should check out our FREE S-Drive service that is fully integrated into Visual Site Designer. With just a few steps, you can publish to our service and be amazed at how much faster it is.

1. First, you need to create your S-Drive Account

2. Go to Publish > CoffeeCup Account Settings and enter in your CoffeeCup account information
