Has anybody seen this before?

"changes could not be saved"
I got this after updating a page and trying to save it. Then a window opened like when you select save as popped up and I clicked cancel and got
"Could not save Home page"
I didn't make any changes to the home page. I'm leaving VSD running to try to figure a way out with out losing my work. I tried saving with a new name but got the same thing.

Hi Eric, as you clicked on save, the progress bar showed and was in motion then you selected cancel?
I'm trying to duplicate this........

I clicked save.
There was no progess bar or processing messages that appeared.
"The changes could not be saved" popped up
I clicked "Ok"
The "Save As" window popped up with the name of my VNU in the file name bar.(See pic saveas.jpg)
I clicked "Save"
VSD asks Selkirk Lake.vnu already exists. Do you want to replace it?
I click "yes"
"The changes could not be saved" popped up.
I click "Ok"
Error window closes and the save as window opens again
It just keeps on doing this when I click "Save"
The only way to get out of the loop is to click "Cancel" on the "Save As" window.
Thats when I get the "Home page could not be saved"
I click "Ok" error closes and nothing happens.

Eric, it would really, really, really, really ,really, really, really, really, really, really help if you put support tickets in for these things. This way we can keep track of issues and make sure they are properly addressed. Sometimes I can't always be in the forums to catch stuff like this.

Did I mention it would really help?

For your issues, I would suggest saving as a new name and see if that helps. If you do still have issues, please open a support ticket and we will look into this for you. Being it is Christmas Eve now, give us a few days to look into it.

Hi Scott, I post on the forum first to give you guys a break and second so that other users will have an idea of what to do if they run into the same thing. I'll try everthing on my end to resolve an issue as I know how windozzzzz can be, I'm very patient and if its something thats holding me up and I don't think it's a local issue I'll ask for a support ticket. I hope my post don't come across as being desperate.

This last issue
I failed to get out of the loop and close VSD. It didn't save my changes. I started over where I left off putting back all the same elements and everything is fine.

Thanks for the response but really go back to vacation.

I am having the same problem! please help as I cannot close VSD and lose a whole days work on my website that is now published!

The error message is "Changes can not be saved" and as Eric says it goes through a loop saving as to the error message.

I would open a support ticket but I don;t know how.

Wish you would have answered this here or put a link to it in support. I am now having the same problem and can't find your answer.

Jay, under the Support button you'll find My Support Room. In there you can request help with your problem. The CC people are usually pretty quick about getting back to us.

There have been some other posts/threads about this, but I don't think any of us in the forum have a definite answer to it – best to let the staff take a look for you.
