I just did screen shots and put them at the bottom of the web site so you can compare it all. It's up and running now.
Thanks!

The files are too big to attach here. But I now have three screen shots at the bottom of the web site that you can compare from the VSD screen and the actual web site. You won't see all those gaps and spaces and out of whack scaling in the VSD screen shots.

Yea that looks weird. I would try deleting everything from your server and try re-syncing the VSD website again. You are viewing your website on IE... the worst browser ever. Try viewing your website on Google Chrome or Firefox as well. The spacing issues are not as great there.

Another thought... what version of VSD are you using?

I changed computers and also wiped the hard drive clean on the old one that I used with VSD. So, when I found out two of my web sites crashed on GoDaddy and all the files were lost too, I downloaded the latest version of VSD, which would have been just a few days ago. Whatever version that is.

The server is brand new. I just signed up with iPage Monday.
I could try Chrome or Firefox, but that's not going to fix the trouble. Many people will try to view with IE, including me. IE is not the trouble. What's happening from VSD to the server when the web site is published is where the trouble is.
Thanks!

PS. Isn't there a menu or place to check to alter the view in VSD? Something like full screen, or in perspective, or in ratio?

You wont be sorry you went to iPage. I am an authorized reseller and have been for 4 years with little to no issues with them at all.

Another thing, which I believe I asked before, what font are you using? Remember all browsers render fonts different ways.

I don't believe there is a way to change the view in VSD.

Times New Roman. None of that has changed. I was using that from the beginning, and all the time the site looked correct through GoDaddy until it crashed. This only started when I began rebuilding my page this week. But I was using the old files I had always used.

Don,

Do me a favor. Take a screenshot of the Edit > Add Files dialog and attach it to your next post. I would like to see something. :)

If I got what you wanted to see, all I did was hit Edit > Add Files and it said "Root." I just posted it at the bottom of the web site. It's up and running now.

Thanks,

The most common cause for this is a difference in the DPI setting of the system you're viewing the pages with compared to the system that designed the page.

Since our software requires normal (96) DPI to create the site, everything is scaled to appear correctly in that setting. However, some systems default to large (120) or custom DPI settings, and since this changes the number of pixels per inch on the screen, it changes the scale of reference for your Website and can wreak all sorts of havoc on the design.

You need to set your DPI is set to 96/normal. Here's how you can do that:

For Windows Vista/ Windows 7
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Adjust Font Size (DPI), located in the upper left-hand corner of the window. This will display the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI, set it to Normal/96 DPI.

I'm in Windows 7 and I went to the Personalize screen but didn't see anything about Adjust Font in the upper left hand corner. I'll watch the video.
Thanks!
