Direct FTP Overview
This video gives you a basic idea of the capabilities of CoffeeCup Direct FTP. This file transfer protocol client allows you to make edits to the HTML of your documents within the program, preview images, monitor the progress of your file transfers, back up your files, set up multiple servers, and bookmark commonly used files within your computer and your server.

Setting up a Server in Direct FTP
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to set up a server in CoffeeCup Direct FTP using the options under the Servers button. The video will identify the different fields and which information you should include, as well as where to find the information if you have forgotten it. It also identifies the use of passive mode, protocols, ports, and proxies. Finally, it shows you how to select the server profile you have just set up in order to upload your Website files.

Editing Files on a Server
This tutorial walks you through the steps of editing HTML files remotely using CoffeeCup Direct FTP. First, select a file from your server, and then drag it down to the File Editor area of the workspace. The video outlines the different editing options available within the File Editor toolbar, including saving to your computer or server, copy, cut, and paste, adjusting text style (bold, italic, or underline) and alignment (left, center, or right), adding links and images, and previewing the page.

Uploading Files
This video walks you through the process of uploading files to your server using CoffeeCup Direct FTP. First, find the file on your computer where your Website files are saved. Then, select the file(s) you wish to upload and click the Upload button, or right-click the file(s) and select the Upload option. You can also click the file(s) you wish to upload and then drag them to the server pane. The FTP Activity tab will display the status of the files being uploaded. When the upload is complete, you may click the red X next to the Progress bar to remove the file from the FTP Activity list. Direct FTP allows you to overwrite files just for the current session or for any time you upload files to the selected Website.

Changing File Permissions
This tutorial shows you how to change file permissions for your server using CoffeeCup Direct FTP. To do so, log into your remote server and right-click the file you'd like to change permissions for. Select the Change Permissions option and modify the permissions as necessary.
