Importing is a quick and easy way to add account information. Under File > Import there are two options to choose from when importing:
- Import from a CSV file: Use this option to import accounts from a CSV file found locally on your computer.
- Import from Shared LockBox File: Use this option to import accounts from a Shared LockBox File.
Let's start by importing from a CSV file. Navigate to File > Import and select Import from a CSV file. Then navigate to your CSV file located on your computer. Select it and click Open. You can choose to Retrieve website icons during import or, by unchecking this option, you can complete that step later.
Click Next to be taken to the Match Fields dialog. This will allow you to match the fields from your CSV to the fields in LockBox. You can also use the Automatically match all fields button to help speed the process up. Once you have completed matching the fields click Import and you are done!
Importing data into LockBox using a CSV
Before you get started, it’s important to make sure your CSV file is formatted properly. In order to import a .CSV file into LockBox, the values in the file must be organized in a certain order. Each value must be separated by a comma (,).
The following text must be the first line in your CSV file (it defines your column headers):

Importing from a Shared LockBox File is the same as above however much easier. There is no need to match the fields as the Shared File is already in the format LockBox is looking for.
