Click the Image tool in the left toolbar, and then click the location on the page where you would like to place the image. This opens a window that allows you to browse your computer for the image you would like to use. Visual Site Designer supports the .gif, .png, and .jpg image types, including transparent .gifs and .pngs. The image will be inserted at its full size. To resize it, hold down the Shift key and drag the left or right edge with your mouse.

You can also use the Shapes tool, located in the left toolbar, to create a shape on your page, and then click the Fill button in the top toolbar. Choose Picture and then browse your computer for the image you would like to use. (Please note that an image fill for a shape cannot contain transparency. To insert an image containing transparency, use the Image tool.) If you would like to resize the shape to fit the picture, go to Object > Scale Object to Fit Picture Fill.
