Now that you have created your sitemap, it is time to add it to your website and submit it to the search engines. Sitemapper provides you with 3 different options to help you through this. Click the Export Icon to begin the process.

Step 1:

All your files will be exported to the folder where you saved your sitemap. Just place those contents of that folder within your existing website project.

Important tip: The sitemap.xml file is really the only file needed for the search engines. The rest of the files are for your website visitors. Make sure to put the sitemap.xml file in the root folder of your server.

 

 
Step 2:

This is the probably easiest method. All your files will be exported to the folder where you saved your sitemap. This will launch the built-in FTP client and automatically upload all these files for you to your server.

 

 
Step 3:

Here is where we have to get a little more dirty, but this method allows you to embed a sitemap directly into any webpage. The process is handled through 3 easy steps. Just work your way through all the steps following the instructions.

Manual Instructions: Step 1: Paste these lines between the and tags of your page.

Important Note: If you want your sitemap to be responsive, make sure you update your DOCTYPE as shown in the instructions above.
