Hiya Jan... again :P

Welcome to the forums and to CC, nice to have some more grandma's in here hehe, we're definitely not the majority, but it's refreshing to see how many of us older people are into website design. Good luck on your CC adventures and have a great night!

Hello All!

I think I purchased the CoffeeCup HTML editor waaaay back in 1997 and I remember I absolutely loved it. So here I am again after just purchasing the 12.7 version.

I am very interested in using CoffeeCup to create HTML 5 pages for mobile devices. From what I am seeing, HTML has changed a LOT since the last time I did any web page coding. Whew!

Kind regards,

Hiya Raj and welcome to the forums. I am hoping you didn't make a second purchase of the software though as you didn't need to do that. All CoffeeCup's software has free updates for the life of the program. If you had already purchased it before you may want to open a support ticket to find out what to do on that. Good luck with it and enjoy it either way! Here's a link to your support area:

Hey Jo Ann. No worries... I'm not going to ask that some poor soul go back 16 years looking for my purchase. Besides, your team has invested a lot of time and effort in this product over the years in the product.

Just curious... do you have any references or design information for creating web pages for mobile devices with CoffeeCup? Does CoffeeCup have any templates for mobile devices?

Kind regards,
-=Raj=-

Hiya Raj,

There are no actual templates created for them for the HTML Editor itself at this time, but most all the themes will work pretty well with mobile devices. Stay away from Flash and lots of flashy scripts and you should be fine for mobile devices. There are lots of themes out in the internet world that are created for HTML editing that will work fine with the HTML Editor also, so you might want to try googling for some that are already created specifically for mobile devices, but it's not totally necessary.

As far as themes go though, you can use any theme from pretty much anywhere as long as it's built for editing in an HTML editor rather than a specific program.

Hope that helps and good luck!
