Hi Eric,

Changing the questions from checkboxes to dropdown produced the same results.

Splitting the form into 2 parts worked ......... but only sent the second half to the database.

Back to the drawing board ........

My host provider has doubled the size of the innodb_log_file to 2gb plus I deleted some of the questions and rebuilt the form to dropdown instead of checkboxes.

I uploaded the form and tested it but it still does not connect to the database.

I put in a support ticket last Thursday but I have not had any response from Coffeecup.

I would also convert a lot of the checkboxes to radio buttons. Users can check both on questions which seems confusing.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I have had a reply to the support ticket and they suggest upgrading to the latest version but as we are a charity, I cannot justify the cost so I am going to think about an alternative.

Thanks for all of your help with this and my previous threads as your help has been invaluable, having implemented your advice and suggestions.

If the other two forms are working - even with the version of the programme that you have, is there any logic in upgrading the version for the third form? After all the work Eric and yourself have put in?

I'm just following this thread from the sideline, as it's way above my head anyway, but if Eric can get this form to work, and I'm sure he is using the latest WFB version, maybe if he sent you his version for you to upload...?

Thanks for the suggestion but don't think that either Eric or I would wish to go down that road.

I, too, have been following this from the sidelines. I agree with Inger... if Eric has it and can send it to you... and his willing ... do that. Or do the upgrade.
I don't know how to do what you are wanting to do, but it seems you are trying to cram a square peg into a round hole.

Hi Mark,

The suggestion about Eric sending me the upgrade is a complete no no as that would be piracy.

The forms have worked perfectly for over 10 years but now that we must have the database facility as legal requirement, we have run into this problem in that two of the forms save to the database and three others don't.

As I posted above, we are a charity and registered with the UK Kennel Club but we cannot justify spending on an upgrade to existing software using money that has been donated for the welfare of dogs in need of a new home.

I will look for an alternative and hope that whatever I use will save all of the forms to the database.

I didn't mean sending the upgrade, only the finished form. I'm not suggesting any piracy.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

The forms are upgraded quite often plus I have made several alterations in the css files so that idea would not work.

Thanks anyway,

Pete
