Confused on how to incorporate into...

Eric Hi. I uploaded both and went back to the classic which is the one I have been using all along. Maybe certain parts of classic are just set at defaults and I'm not realizing it. An example... I added some radio buttons and I type in the text part for the button to read "other concerns" but when I load it to VSD it reads "all other concerns". When I try to make more custom colors in the input box and the text field box I am just defaulted to similar colors but not the ones I chose. And one other example is the text above the radio buttons I type "Let us know how we can help you" but when I upload it it always defaults to "How can we help you?". If this is the case then I am fine with it I just need to know so I don't keep doing things I can't change anyway.

Few other questions about form builder classic... I used the PDF tutorial and it mentioned I need to set up a server account for the form to work properly. First what is that and second do I have to set up this account. Other question... this website has not been uploaded yet to Host Gator. I've tried sending an email through preview while online but it has never gone through. Is this because I am not on the host gator platform?

Eric this is so close to going up I just can't wait. Your help, Paintbrush, Viv, Scott and anyone else I left out was so GREAT!!!! I've been telling everyone about CC.

I'm going to go for a walk before the sun sets, give my eyes a rest and wait for your response on the form and then upload it live.

Thanks again.

This just means your form needs to be 'live' online. So once you upload your site (including your form) to your Host Gator account, all should work well.

I don't know about your design/text options. I ditched the Flash FB the second the HTML FB became available . Maybe someone else can take a look at their FB program and see what's possible.

Paintbrush thanks. I'm not going to worry about the design part of the form builder at this point. It looks fine as it is and as long as it all works when I upload then I'm good to go.

Thanks for Yesterdays help with FTP. So now with you last post another question appears regarding FTP settings. I entered the info into FTP Account Settings window and tried it last night just to see what would happen. It started to upload but I cancelled because of the form problem. Once you enter the correct FTP Account information it essentially uploads all of the right files for you. Am I correct to assume that?

Just to be clear... Above you put (including form) in parentheses does one have to do something different for the form or will that go right along with the upload. My form files are in the same location as the rest of my site. There is also another fiolder within that location that I created myself which is all of the images I used or might use on the site. Should I remove any files and folders that were not created by any of the CC platforms before uploading through FTP?

TIA

If you used form builder classic and you used the add flash tool in VSD, VSD will upload all the necessary files for your site including your form. Go ahead and pull the trigger.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Eric thanks I did just that. Gettin close to pullin that triger. Just really covering everything I can beforehand.

Another question...

I posted this question on another thread which was a bit dated so maybe you know the answer. Under edit in the drop downs in the very left uphand corner there is a place to enter kerywoods and a description. If one does this do these words actually appear visually on your website pages?

Again TIA

No, Their for search engines like Google. Don't worry about that until you get your site uploaded and actually working.:)

Eric Hi I see you're online,

Okay I am officially ready to push the button and load this site to Host Gator. I just did a test connection through the FTP account settings and everything said ok and then it sent me back to my FTP accounts settings. Sorry for what is probably obvious but what do I do now to get this published. A please remember step by step so I don't mess up. Not real familiar with FTP. To begin should I click save in the FTP Account Settings?

As always thank you very much

Daniel, yes – click save for your FTP settings. After that, if you click Publish (top menu), do you see "Publish to your site name" at the top of the drop-down choices? If so, all you need to do is click it. If not, jump down to "Choose a Publishing Destination" and click your site name when it shows up.

You can then go to Publish > Publish to..... Or – You can click the globe button next to the preview button.
Clicking the globe is fine if you have one site. If you have a few different sites, use the Publish drop-down so you can see which site is selected.

While your site is uploading, you'll see all the file and image names go by in the upload dialogue box. This can take a minute or so the first time you publish your site. When it gets to the end it will tell you your site has been successfully published.

Good Luck! :)

Paintbrush I see you are now online. I've been looking all over this forum for how to proceed with uploading my site to my host but to no avail. You got me as far as setting up my FTP account settings and I ran a test connection and it all checked out okay, no error messages. Now I don;t know where to go from here to get this site uploaded on to my host server. I think I should click save in the FTP settings then what do i do next?

Any help is appreciated. If anyone reads this post and knows my next steps please post.

TIA
