When I check my files on the server, I can see them, so the HTML editor is connecting to the server properly. But when I click on any directory folder on the server, I get this:

141: FTP protocol error: 550 can't change directory to public_html/themes: No such file or directory.

Can someone assist?

Do you have a / in front of the public_html on the ftp settings?
/public_html/
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Just uploaded a new site and I am getting this error.

I can see files in root and folders but can not access the folders.

I had public_html as remote root folder but you have to put /public_html

As Eric says.
