I appreciate the kind words Carolyn thank you very much. I'm still very much an amuture, but over the past year I've dump uncountable amount of hours into CoffeeCup's Responsive Site Designer.

Here is my first attempt using SD3.5. Not absolutely pixel-perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with it overall. I edited the HTML files that Site Designer created a bit after exporting them. Rather than have the menu code on each page, I put that into an include file & just call it to each page with a little PHP. The banner & footer are the same way. That way, if I need to make a change, I just have to do it on the one include file, rather than on each page file--much easier to maintain at least, imho! :) I set up the footer text with a bit of JavaScript, so the copyright year changes automatically each January 1. I also have a form on the "Contact" page made with Web Form Builder.

You could have done the Header footer thingy using symbols within SD itself

Actually, I did use symbols in SD. But when I exported the files, each HTML page had the menu & footer code on it. I just transferred the code in each to include files, and called them to the pages with PHP. I'm not planning to maintain the site solely in SD, but using the HTML Editor, since I have to make changes to a few pages frequently, but not the whole site. Having the menu, footer, etc., in one file each just makes maintenance easier. :)

Hello Everyone,

Just posted my first web site created with Site Designer V3. It is very basic as the client didn't need any "fancy" transitions or effects. As a tutor, her only requirement was to present her details clearly.

I do sites as a hobby and this is my first responsive design (and first in about two years). Initially I was intimidated with the CoffeeCup software, but once I got going I found it quite easy to use. I was able to achieve the design I had imagined without any difficulties. I ran into one issue when posting the site; but it only took an hour to resolve thanks to the members on this forum.

Take a look: www.yes-you-can.ca

Starting with straightforward websites is the right thing to do. I think that some questions in these forums result from people trying to run before they can walk.

There is one tiny matter. At the end of paragraph 2 there is a space missing: 'strengths, and needs' should, of course, be 'strengths, and needs'.
