You can, but it will be converted to grid. If you were using either Foundation or Bootstrap in RSD2.5, you can still do that, but the rows and columns are gone and are replaced with containers. You need to tidy up remnants of old, redundant rows and columns. And then you need to check if the styling you had applied, is still there. Some of it may have disappeared in the conversion.
I'm just learning this myself, so I'm not the best person to give advice. There are others who have come much further with it.
One piece of advice that I can give you: Make sure to make a backup of the original file before you start on converting it.

What am I missing? Took the link from the original post to Guide to CSS Grid. The layout is horrendous. I can't understand the flow. The sections don't flow and are mixed across columns. Is there a better way to read this?

Or, more to my task. I am looking for a new web design tool. Want it responsive, fairly easy and quick to build simple pages. I build about 25 small business sites a year. I don't want a "hosted" tool. I will primarily use it as the website container for the e-commerce solution I use, ecwid.com

Can someone point me to a video that walks me through building with Site Designer? And do I want Site Designer or Bootstrap Builder or Foundation Framer?

Pardon me if this is not the right place to post.

Coffeecup's newest tool, Site Designer, can do what you want. The thing is, it is kind of new to most of us here, so not too many of us will be able to give you expert help. You will find some videos to get you started here:
https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … d-builder/
Try to follow the progression in them to learn how to build a basic site.

When you have mastered the basics, you can move on to Bob's videos (link at the bottom of the page I mentioned).

In Site designer you have the option of building with Bootstrap, Foundation or Materialize grid system. There is also a 'Vanilla' kind of system, where you are on your own with setting breakpoints. I think I would recommend Foundation, as most of the users here are utilizing it, and therefore, getting help will be easier.

If you were willing to go 'one step back in time', you could go for Foundation Framer. We can help you with most things there, and we have one of the helpers who has specialized in creating tailored videos for most anything in Foundation.

At a later stage, if you want to 'get back to the future', a project created in RFF can be opened in SD and converted to the new row- and columnless system, still using Foundation classes and attributes.

Hello everyone.
I am trying to learn to use sd V3 to make my site http://pedro-parquet.com/.
http://pedro-parquet.com/pedro_eng.html
And I keep finding things that I don't understand.
Is it right that you can't learn SD unless you learn first CSS Grid???

Please help me with some tips. I hope this is the right topic.
For instance here is something:
no 1. (problem... )I put a background to a container and on the right side it shows the image I chose for it but it does not show on the left side on the container. I have the same image for larger screen and it shows it but not here . I will put a screen print
I will return...

Hi,
It is full possible to use SDv3 without learning CSS grid. It is completely up to you if you want to use CSS grid or not. I see you are using the Foundation framework, which will work well without CSS grid.

I'm not sure I understand your problem with the background image. Did you add the image when you had the slider somewhere to the right of some breakpoints? The best to do is sending your project file, so that we can see for ourselvs what the problem is. Just zip up the .rsd file and attach it. If it is too large, you maybe have a dropbox or similar to pop it into and send the URL?

Thank you for your time.
If you see the screen print, on the right side where the properties are , you can see that at the background there is an image.....but on the left side of the screenprint you can see that the selected container ( at the top of the page) has the coffee cup image instead of the image that I selected . I hope this makes it clear, sorry my english is not so good so... please bear with me.

OK, I see. That happens if you pull the slider past some of the breakpoints before inserting an image. You need to move the slider to the left, within the space before the first (from the left) breakpoint, and while there insert the image.
BTW, there is a typo on the English page; 'Give' is correct, without the h.

Hmmm...still not working. Here I try to attach my rsd file maybe you could spot the mistake better. Sometime it seams like it needs a refresh , i change the image for background and still the icon shows the old image . I click to preview and back but still no refresh.

PS I was looking at your site you have in your signature and I saw many nice things like the carousel and some click and reveal thing...how do i incorporate those in my page? I saw some instructions at the top , I might have to pay more attention but now I have this problem on my mind...and is frustrating when a little problem like that...i hope is little... holds me back.
PPS I put the rsd in dropbox here's the link
