Components?

We have seen the empty component folder in SD3. While waiting for the component shop to open, some of you may have created your own.
I'm just making my first steps with SD3, and one of the things I'm trying, as an exercise, is to convert some of the components that we had in RSD. I have just done two, the slideshows Carousel (Bootstrap) and Orbit (Foundation). Both have been made 'mobile up'.
I'd be happy if someone could test them. If they are faulty, please let me know. If they work ok, then you are welcome to use them with your own images.

Just open the file and make a component of the 'main' container.

Yes, I know. But those two slide shows are not among the components included in the grid builder. That's why I made them.

Hi Inger.
They both worked fine for me in Firefox Developer Edition. For each one I 'uploaded' the component in SD V3, opened a new project file with the relevant framework, and inserted the component, testing with 'Preview on...'.

Hi Adrian.
I, like you, don't have Dropbox. That doesn't prevent one downloading from the link given. One clicks on the Download button at the top right, and chooses Direct Download.

Thanks, Frank! That's great. I will see if I'm able to convert some of the other components I made earlier and upload them to my sharing repository. I need to revamp that anyway, but various other commitments have been keeping me busy with other things for quite some time. Hopefully I can get around to it soon... ;)

Hallo Uwe,

I'm glad those slideshows can be of use to somebody. The Carousel one has the images 'jumping' into position, but it was the same with the RSD version. Maybe someone knows how to combat that?

Thanks also for enjoying my photos. I enjoy taking them :) In about 10 days I go for a week to Berlin, need to check my "Koffer" (quote: Marlene Dietrich ;) ) , so maybe my next component will have some pics from the German capital ;)

(Bootstrap Carousel)

Inger, I would remove the padding of 15 px Left and Right on the container-item(s) and container-inner. That should fix the "jump in to fit".

If you want the left and right controls to be outside of the pictures rather than on the pictures you could move those outside of the container-inner to be children of the carousel slide container.
