Duplicate titles, products link,...

Hi all,
This is my first time on here so be gentle please.
I have 3 issues with creator pro & designer pro. Actually I had more but was able to solve them on my own and with some direct help form Scott. Got my site uploaded with no problems. Whew! However, when I go to a sub-category page, I see the page title at the top and then the same title just above the sub-category and the pictures are right below that. How do I get rid of the 2nd title? I tried to "white out" the sub category title but that didn't work.
Secondly, my products link in the breadcrumb list goes to only one category. I don't know how that happened but isn't it supposed to show all the categories?
Finally I tried the accordion effect that was discussed in this forum. Followed everything exactly and it won't work. I used the instructions at http://progrower.coffeecup.com/accordian.html . Has anybody tried this with any success?
Thanks,
Ken

Sounds like you make have a missing or extra div tag. Link will help a lot. If all else fails drop any custom html that you added and see if the page returns to normal.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks for your replies! Woulda replied sooner but I was looking in the wrong place. Doh!
My site is www.reliefsource.com .
I carefully checked all the div tags and everything matches up. I don't have any custom html on that page other than <br> tags. The only thing I'm not sure of is the header content. I pasted the code in the custom markup area in shop settings where is says additional header content, but I'm not sure if I'm naming the link correctly. Tried accordian/slider.css but that didn't work. I also used the whole link including public.html/reliefsource/accordian etc. but that didn't do it either. And I did upload the accordian folder to the server. Really frustrating.

Hi Eric & Jo Ann,

Hopefully this reply will post. I tried to add a reply and it disappeared. Any ideas about my initial post? I'm really frustrated with this stuff!

Hiya Ken,

I am pretty sure it's working as intended now that I see what you are talking about. The reason for this is you are seeing the name of the Page and then the name of the Category. I'm not sure there is anything you can change there and I'm pretty sure it's nothing you've done right or wrong, that's just how it is setup. You can see the same thing in the following shops too if that helps explain it:

..... hmm, as I just finished that I see a site that doesn't have that... let me fire up the program and see what I can find out on it and I'll post back later on it unless someone else pops in and answers it first. :)

Ok that didn't take long. What they did was take the title at the top (or the category title depending on which one you want to mess with) and made it the same color as the background. In the case of this one:

Above the breadcrumbs (pathway of the category at the top area of the page) there is actually a CD that is not showing, it's because they made the text color of that title white as the background is.

Hope that helps :)

Hi Jo Ann,

I actually tried that with the top title but it made ALL the page titles disappear. I'm trying to do that with the title below the breadcrumbs but I can't find anything about a category title in designer pro. I might have to just live with it. Not a huge deal but it's just redundant.
By the way, any ideas on how to change text in the view cart page? I just want to change "Estimated Taxes" to "Sales Tax" but can't find where to do that if it's even possible.

Thanks,
Ken

I don't think that can be done within the program for the taxes. I'm pretty sure I've read about others changing it in files, but I've no idea which files would need to be edited for that, and whether or not you'd have to redo the changes each time you updated the shop as it might be changes that are overwritten by the program each time.

Hopefully someone else will have some ideas here on that part. :)

I think you're right. I don't see any point if I have to keep changing it every time I upload. I guess there are some things about this software ya just have to live with. I have a different html editor that allows you to see the code as you're editing. I wonder if coffee cup plans to add anything like a "view source page" or "edit source page" so you can edit your code if needed. I know that might complicate things but it could be something that you could leave alone or use it if you want.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
