Its Viv having a hardcore code problem

Using friends account as its his NEW website, but its Viv really

I am having my usual problem, i can't get it right as i don't do code

if i reduce the width, date and time goes on top & it all shifts left so off center

Ideally i would like white background so it blends in and fits centrally beetween the black lines

Thanks folks http://mwcwindowcleaner.co.uk/MWC-comments-feedback-2013

Well for the shifting thing, you will need to adjust the text font size for the headers for each of the posts as well as the bits and pieces for the dates and such too. Keep in mind that when you alter the width of an element it needs to be accommodated by altering all the parts and pieces that are within that width in order to fit correctly.

Rather than deal with the Stream code, maybe adjust the width of the site/pages? You could go to 980px wide (it's 950 as is), or a standard width, 1024px?

Also, you could change the footer for just that page. Move the footer info to the side so you have an open area to accomodate the Stream's length. Then it won't matter if there are longer posts, nothing will get covered up.

 And, this is a "no-code" solution :D

Hi Viv,

Get yourself into hardcore mode in the stream settings and adjust the styles:

Look for #F4F4F4 by searching and change it to #FFFFFF (this will make the white background you want)

In VSD you can use an iframe and control the width and height to suit the area on the page that you want to drop the stream into. That's how I do it at http://blog.fixtronix.com

<iframe width=xxx height=xxx frameborder="0" src="http://YOU.coffeecup.com/stream"></iframe>

Replace xxx in each case with your choice of width and height and replace YOU with your friends CC user account

Nice one Viv,

Although, there's a "comments" splash there every time I visit it now...

There's just this one post:
"Customers Comments Since April 2013"

But there's no place to comment?

AH Bisto : didn't want comments on the comments, just comments from new clients leaving new comments ;)

So now Tim has left a new comment :)

Just now need to remove some of the spare space VERTICALLY (padding?) so its less spread out

But as usual, i cant work out which bits of code to change
