Waiting for Albums to be available...

I have been waiting anxiously for the capability of using albums on my webbie account. I understand the upper echelon of users has been testing the feature , however looking at the limited number of comments in this forum not much has happened with that group. Not being able to test this feature, I am not sure how it would work for me. I currently use Picasa Web Albums to put small slide shows on various web sites and wonder if s-drive albums would be a better alternative since Picasa uses flash, which hopefully S-drive will not. Any chance Webbies will be able to test this soon?

Most beta testing is done through E-Mail's. :P So you would not see most of it. :D

Thanks for asking! We're actually really close to having Albums ready for the masses. There's a BIG overhaul of the S-Drive Dashboard underway, and Albums will go live for everyone when that update is released–hopefully by the end of March. :D

OK so I now have the chance to try albums, thanks for the chance.

Read the email and decided to upload 10 pictures from my PC using the multi upload feature.
It failed 9 of them with an IO error 2038 and uploaded one only.
Tried again using multi upload using one image all OK.
Tried again using two images, failed again with IO error 2038.
So for me the multi upload is not working right.
Used standard mode ie one at a time all OK

All images were right size as required.

Greg, what browser (version and build), operating system, Adobe Flash version and type of images were you trying to upload?

I used Direct FTP to upload photos to storage then moved them to collection/albums. Cannot figure out how to access albums or collection via Direct FTP but it sure would be nice.
Albums are a great addition very useful
I have the album running on a website viewable via chrome, firefox,IE, safari browsers on laptop or iphone 4 using safari or Opera mini. Take a look here

Windows7 32bit
Chrome Browser 18.0.1025.162
JPEG images approx 4Mb in size.
Flash (3 files) - Version: 11,2,202,235
Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
Flash is intergrated with browser apparently.
