i would love to be able to use the transitions and animate layers within slides will that be possible in the future as i cant see a way to do it atm - its just the whole slide using the step transition which seems to use fade, timing differences of elements and slide outs. with the only control being the time of the transiition.

Transitions - more would be great and i would like the ability to fade from one slide directly to the next and not have the white background between them

Hope that makes sense

Hi
Just had a quick play with the new product - gee it is great.

Would love to be able to add pan and zoom to slides - like some of the query scripts do.
Perhaps you can do that now and I just haven't got to it yet.

Please advise.
Cheers Peter

I applaud CC for adding the responsive slider to the responsive suite of programs. I like what I see - so far.

Understanding that what we have now is still a beta version, I can only hope that the final version has more of the bells and whistles that have been mentioned in this forum.

I have been working with a few WordPress websites, and my slider of choice there is the "Revolution Slider". This is what RCS should emulate... it has all the flexibility for animation of every element (text, boxes, images, etc) as well as video. Its an all-in-one solution, including independent direction, speed, timing (in & out), bounce effects, etc.

I'll be using RCS as is for now in my RSD websites, but hope for getting all these features some day. ;-))

Thanks Steve, that's great to hear :)

You know we will be adding as we go! Many of the animation requests were already planned for Responsive Site Designer and over time will clearly make their way into RCS as well.

Yea, that's a nice javascript based slider. As far as we know it's not an app where you can create custom designs in a visual environment with custom breakpoints and so on, you will be customizing the code / settings instead. It does have more effects (for now) but way less design freedom (unless you hand code).

Anyway, many of the things mentioned there RCS is capable of already, we'll be making themes to showcase them. The animations are on their way, they will probably make it into RSD first though

Cool, let us know how it goes and what you need for specific design examples. For us it's always easier to place feature requests in the right context when tied to a design use case. But yea...some day absolutely ;):P
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

Great app. I would like the fade transition to show the next image sooner so you don't get the white flash between slides.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Match the background of the page in the slideshow element. Here is an example of RSD and RCS working together. This is far from done but it's how I got rid of the white flash.
