I am starting to go a bit crazy. This is my first site with RSD and I got it to where I really like it. The problem is when I put online it does not look as nice. :( I did realize that using Komposer to edit the html was causing some problems so I just use notepad now. My limited knowledge of html and slightly less than zero knowledge of css has reached it's limits.

What it looks like in RSD

Thank you for any help.

your background image is probably set to contain or custom,, it should really be set to "cover" then adjusted for position according to the view size

also it is set to "fixed at lower breakpoints, this causes a heavy load on mobile devices, so ideally that background image at LOWER breakpoints (at least until the second default blue breakpoint) should be set to "Scroll"

I have to ask WHY are you editing it outside of RSD especially CSS ? everything can be dome within RSD then just export it FTP it BOOOOOOOOOM done

Thank you for your help. I guess I should really read the manual. But I watched a few videos and just started trying things until I found something that worked. Where would I find out what the best/preferred method of doing something?

I am editing the html outside RSD as I read you can not do it in RSD. I need to add the Paypal buttons.

Thanks again.

You can add your paypal buttons within RSD no problem
if you put your rsd project up (dropbox) them I can take a proper look at whats going on & make a short video showing the moves you need to make, except that I am not back to Bali until Tuesday next week so the video won't be up until then

Wayan, Thank you so much for your offer. I started with a template and just put my images and text in. I also had to add some columns. The first one I made worked better. The background was showing. I then added some space (margin) between the rows to make it more clear what buttons went to what product. That is when the background disappeared. I have made sure it is in the right location on the server.......but beyond that... :( LOL.
Actually I am really happy with the way it turned out with the limited amount of time I have spent on learning RSD. I expected a few little challenges but this has got me stuck.

This is the css for the background......

body.grid-1 {
padding-right: 1.25em;
padding-left: 1.25em;
background-image: url('./images/Myofascial_release_tools_sale.jpg?id=415&cache=1517596062249');
background-attachment: fixed;
background-clip: border-box;
background-origin: border-box;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

@media screen and (max-width: 25.9375em) {
body.grid-1 {
padding-right: .625em;
padding-left: .625em;
}
}

I have put a copy of the background file in the "images" file but beyond that......I am lost.

Do you not have "dropbox account ? if not go get one (it's free for the basic version" once you have one, upload the RSD project to your dropbox account,, then select share, this will give a link, which you can then post here or send to my email (in my profile section)
You DO NOT need touch CSS outside of RSD (unless you want to add some custom stuff)

OK I got it will look at it now
take the breakpoint slider to around 940px point,, add a breakpoint (clicking on the + button for breakpoints
So starting above that breakpoint
select the GRID
move on down to "background"
open the image thingy (if not already open)
go to
"size" and change it from "custom to "COVER"

move on down to the breakpoint at 652 px and change the
"attachment" from "fixed" to "scroll"

that fixes your problem with the background image not filling the screen at the higher monitor devices

Thank you so much for your help. That even got the FB icon/link to be left justified as I wanted. Guess I'll spend a bit of time reading the tutorials......or most likely just keep stumbling forward as I learn. ;)

Thanks again,

Mike
