My adventure with the Windows 10 update KB4074588
The Windows 10 update KB4074588 rendered my Dell laptop wireless mouse inoperative.
After a few cold boots, uninstall / reinstall, replace batteries, even bought a new mouse I finally found a solution. I happened by it on chance since you aren't told what the updates are anymore unless you check, and saw it in support for the new mouse, looked and sure enough. You can do that in win 10 from settings / windows update / then look at history.

That and I also had to update my driver, but with one found on my Logitech mouse site, so you may need to go to yours and see if they have one similar. When I finally did that update as well I got my mouse back.
