Hi,

My third website: www.englishaliveacademy.org

Done for a charity org in Ethiopia. Another page is still under construction. This was made using the Black Forest theme template.

Hi Scott, I've also been using the Black Forest theme to try and learn some of the new concepts. How do you change the original Hiking/Camping/Sighting buttons to what you have at the moment Learning/Schools/What's Next ?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hi Brent,

Those tabs have Image for Button elements in them. I went to https://www.coffeecup.com/store/graphics/ and purchased a pack. After download I extracted each and every folder to get the image files, edited them in photoshop, dropped those in the Graphics folder, then went back to the Image for Button element and changed the Local Image to the image I wanted in the Graphics folder. Of course change the text to Learning/Schools/What's Next?

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Scott

Thanks so much...sorry I don't know how I missed this post so apologies for the additional question yesterday (see the moderator moved it into it's own post).

I totally get the concepts you are describing, but can't seem to "click on" the button element(s) in the original theme.I can choose the picture above the button, I can select the column below the button but can't seem to select the button itself to be able to change it. Did you edit the theme or add the button element and then delete the original button (as an example the ladybug/sightseeing). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When inspecting the CSS code I can see the Row/Column and then the next line states "undefined" (see attached for what I'm seeing), so not sure it that's why?

Hope I'm making sense...thanks again for your reply & help.

Brent

Hey Brent, hover over image and you will get the "Image for Button" message and click. Now go to the left, to "Change" and go to the graphics folder. Now change the image to say... the tent. See attached image.

Just remember the images need to be tiny, GIF or PNG preferably.

Thanks Scott...got what you are saying.

Looking at your included image you are editing your own/imported images. My issue is a bit before that as I'm trying to edit the original ones in the theme. To get to that stage did you delete the (original) theme ones and pull in your own button background and image ? If so did you actually delete the original ones eg: the brown/tan background button & beetle for instance or did you edit...if edit how. I simply can't seem to select those original elements to edit them.

I guess that is what I'm battling with as pretty much every element in the theme you can edit/change but I can't edit those buttons and backgrounds on the original theme to make it my own.

I'm feeling pretty stupid as this should be easy, so thanks for taking the time to go through with me.

Thanks again

Brent

Is the Black Forest theme still alive?
I was going to download it and customize it, started here » http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … er-themes/
I scrolled down to the Black Forest theme, and clicked the "Download Black Forest Theme" button.
Landed in a new browser window, with a file-not-found result.
Here is the text: "OOPS! WE CAN’T FIND THAT ON OUR MAP."
Here is the URL » http://themes.coffeecup.com/foundation- … forest.rff
Anyone got an active URL, or can share it.
Or if this theme is broken or unsupported, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mark
