Company Template Blue

Is anyone else using this template? I've started tinkering with it and right away ran into a problem when I replaced the company name with a logo. It works fine in larger sizes but will not drop below the navigation in mobile size. At 842px & above the logo sits in a row just above the nav menu, along with Hours and Phone #s but below 842px even though the Hours and Phones drop below the navigation, the logo does not drop far enough and is partially obscured by the navigation.

What am I missing?

I haven't got that template, but I wonder if you are replacing the company name, which is text, with a logo that is perhaps an image. If that is the case, you may need to check the properties of the original text and see if they can be applied to an image.

The Company Name was in H1 text that i replaced with an image. The only original properties for H1 was 8px margin top and bottom. I applied those to the image but it did not fix the problem.

I tried setting the max width to 50% and that did move it down where I want it but it also distorts the image. I will keep hammering away until I am able to fix the issue!

Contact the guy behind this website: http://www.misterwebguy.com/ . He has created the theme, so he will be able to help if you need it.

You might have had contact with Steve by now, but if not, check the dimensions of the logo that you added. If it has a different height than the H1 text, you will need to play with the margin/padding to make it come free below the menu on small devices.

Yes, I did hear from Steve. He doesn't offer free support to mods on his template but is willing to take a look and see how complicated the change would be. There's other things I want to change so I'm going to get it all together before I connect with him again. Thanks for your suggestion about the height of the H1 tag. I think you're on to something there. I'll let you know what I find.

Inger,
I made the logo the same height as the H1 text and the image jumped right where it is suppose to be on the small screen but that means the logo is waaaay too small. I now realize this template is beyond my skill level when it comes to making mods. I will now move on to another template. Thanks for your help.

I'm off to Spain for the New year celebration, and will be back on Jan 6th. What I did before I left home, was trying to replicate the theme, with the h1 heading and then I replaced it with a logo image which had a different height. It worked well after I had changed the margins a bit.

Regarding the size of the logo, you may perhaps make it full width in a container, inside a column. Then you make the colum different units wide at different viewports.

I only have a tablet with me here, so I can't be of much help until I get home.

Off to Spain! We were there last summer. Wonderful trip.

I will continue to tinker while you're gone and look forward to hearing more from you when you return and are somewhat caught up. Have a wonderful trip.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
