Build 2.5.2400 Image file problems

I would suggest holding off on downloading the 2400 update.
I waited so I wouldn't have problems like I did with with the earlier build 2361. So I thought I out smarted 'em and waited. Then I saw CC had repair patch for the last build with 2400... but this one removes all the images.

I have around 100 images so far and now find I have to use replace for each image. I tried to just add the images again to the folders, which works for preview but you won't see them in RSD so I've found the only repair for the repair is to use replace on each image.

I'll tell you it caught me off guard, I have an earlier backup but made a bunch of changes and thought this one should be no problem since it's a patch. Just goes to show backup the backups then backup those backups.

Strange. I don't have that issue, here all the images are still in place. I've checked several rsd files that I have.

Okay well you can't just use replace it's not that easy.
You have to open the folder replace one image... close it, then open it again replace the next one, close it, open it again...
If you try to just use replace without closing it'll delete the image you just replaced.
That's an old problem but I see it's still in there.

Yeah I'm lucky it didn't do all the images on the backups too Inger, just the last one I saved.

What it seems to be doing is on the last saved file during download it is removing the image path. Good thing is it doesn't change the in program links, just the path on the folder images. So you get a broken image in the folder with the image name intact with just the path removed.
That is weird so it may have been an save issue on my pc if no one else reports it. Other wise it would have to be a cache issue on download to the recent file.
After it is downloaded it does retain the path to the images with a consequential save.
So once replaced those images work like they used to.

I too have found no problems with images that were in pre-Build2400 RSD files. Subsequently opening those RSD files in Build 2400 and re-saving has had no effect on the images, either within RSD or on export.

It will be interesting to learn in due course what has led to the difference of experience.

Hey guys,

I am not sure if Coffeecup employees are scanning the forums, you might want to submit a support ticket to ensure this is documented.

Alter Eagle,
When you say 'download', do you mean the new version of the programme or an .rsd file that you have downloaded from the web, or from someone's dropbox or so? The files I have tested have been just local files.

Already done. In the meantime, we can go on clarifying the problem.

That's right Frank it doesn't effect the other existing files, just on the last saved and during the update. That is why I suspect it is either just my win 10 pc that had a glitch or it could be something like a cache where the update is removing the image path from the last used... which would be weird but it was okay before the update, a twilight zone thing.
Yes Inger download meaning the 2400 update.
So just have to see if others are having that issue as well?

I had that when I first downloaded & installed 2400 update,, I had the images in a folder anyway so just pur the folder back into resources,, since then no problems.
