Adding a "Call Us" button etc. for...

Hi everybody!

As you may know, I'm running a small home business, using RSD 1.5, and the main page is now at https://denverprocessservers.net/

Yay! Got a https now. :D

I go back a ways, and still use a PC for everything here, but of course implemented RSD with Adam's help, so we could accommodate all the mobile users now.

But it seems that we're behind the times again. Now Google is telling me that I need to change the quality of my page, for mobile users So I looked up the stats and found:

https://www.stonetemple.com/mobile-vs-d … age-study/

By the end of this year, 66% of users will be on mobile devices! Wow!

So I need to do at least two things. Put in a Call Us button, and upgrade the page quality for mobile users. When they told me about that, it sounded like getting rid of a bunch of the text on the home page and breaking it out into button menu pages. So I need to work on that.

It's frustrating though, because Adam designed the site for me, and I've just kept it updated some and never really learned how to use RSD very well, because I'm too busy with our little business here.

But as far as the Call Us button, I just need to figure out what kind of element to add. I want to add it right under that big "Please call now" line, near the top. Here's the jpg I'm thinking of, and the code that I found, which hopefully will work well with RSD:

https://denverprocessservers.net/PHOT/PHONE%20ICON%20-%20CALL%20US!.jpg

<a href="tel:XXXXXXXXXX"><img src="PHONE ICON - CALL US!.jpg"></a>

Does it look like it will fit well and work, if I figure what kind of element will work for it?

Thanks!

Melissa

From what I can find out, there's a button link. I just don't see how to implement it with my phone and graphic.

I'm a senior and have a small part time home based business. Awhile back, Adam convinced me to have him do our website at https://denverprocessservers.net/ in RSD 1 and get RSD 1, so I did.

Now I have RSD 1.5 and need to change my site to be mobile friendly, but am not very adept with RSD. So I posted in the community support group, asking, but no one is replying. Now I don't know what to do, being it's hurting our business if I cant put a "Call Us!" button on the site, for mobile users.

I also see that they have new program called, just "Site Designer", but as with so many things on this site, there's no page telling about it - what it is and what it does.

So is Adam still around, to answer my post, or at least someone?

And what is Site Designer? It looks identical to RSD but no info is here.

Why did they move my post here, when no one will answer my questions here?

Hi.

I've been seeing this, but it does seem likely to be difficult for anyone to answer. The following may explain a bit.

1. The thread is likely to have been moved to the Responsive Site Designer forum because it relates to Responsive Site Designer 1.5, and is therefore now in the correct forum.

2. Responsive Site Designer went through various versions and updates to versions, and was eventually replaced by Site Designer V3. You can find out how different from RSD 1.5 this is by trying the free trial offered here, and checking out the Guide here.

3. It would need someone who is still using Responsive Site Designer 1.5 to answer the question with any degree of confidence because the improvements with each update and upgrade have been so significant. It's likely that few, if any, of the people who post answers in these forums will recall what facilities were available in Responsive Site Designer 1.5.

4. It would be difficult for any software business, let alone a fairly small one, to provide support for programs so far out of date, particularly in a field where things change at such a pace.

5. Adam no longer seems to appear in the CoffeeCup Software team list.

I'm sorry to be of so little real help.
