Have had RLM for a little while but just starting to play with it in anticipation of the arrival of RSD and am following the tutorial about building the layout in 9 steps and all is great but the last thing in this is about having the header and footer background cover the entire width while the content stays centred and I don't get your instructions about the Sub Grid.

Would it be possible to have this explained clearly - like where exactly does the grid go and so forth - sorry to appear thick!

It's all in the span count. That is the first thing to look at. Then look at push or pull.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks for the reply

How is that relevant to the instructions in the tutorial?

The one about 9 steps to building your layout - not a vid but a guide in help articles - at the bottom after step nine

Eric, here's the example showing the header/footer:

Maybe you can have a look and explain the sub-grid set up?

This should help. Pretty much spells out the advantage to using the sub grid or container.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for that - yes I have seen that but I am asking for a walk thru in elation to what you guys are saying in the 9 steps article - I don't see how to do what you have done

Can you walk thru the process of how to put the sub grid in to the header and where then how to get the content from the header in to it - step by step

Did you use the toot to build a page to practice with? If you follow that doing what is done on it I think it will be more clear. It doesn't really do anything I would tell you to do.
Maybe a few videos would be better for you to understand the app.

If you search Youtube there are several that users have made explaining ways to build your site with RLM.
