CSS Idea that has helped me - Page 3...

No, nothing wrong, of course. I have no technical solution, but the multitude of linked css and js files makes me want to code my own layout manually to be sure I don't use the same class or id e.g. for two different things.

And I was not thinking about the process of installing the progs, although my example was about. that. I was thinking about what you link to a webpage you are creating and what you upload, and where to. My thinking was that with the project concept it might perhaps be possible to detect if you have more than one say, normalize.css, and then upload and use just one of them.

In this post Ernie has all identical scripts. There's nothing to alter or worry about losing. He only has to place one script link for each set on his page.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

That is what Websight Insight is for. :) It shows you all the files that are loading on your system, which provides (excuse the pun) insight into your website. Can we build this feature into all of our programs, of course. However having one program that checks that for you saves us months of programing it into all the others.

Here is my example...

Lets say you needed a glass of water, we could add a feature into the HTML that tracks your movements via your webcam that when you get up from your chair it would then upload your website, saving you the time when you are away. But, building the software to track your movements, connect to your webcam and tie into the HTML Editor would take a year or two. It would be our main focus and tie up the developers for that time.

My next example...

Say we do what you are asking, this means we would need to restrict the access to the header of your project so that we can monitor what links and scripts are being placed in it. This would strip you of the power of editing those links, which I am sure you do not want. Yes, we could make it a toggle in the settings so advanced users could turn it off. Yet that will also take time to build into the program. :)

OK, I see that I'm too worried without any reason ;)

I just wanted to report back with an update about how the website I'm working on has improved.

I'm not going to try and write down all the stats from Websight Insight but here's the before and after grades from the GTmetrix website (Easier to read):

Before: Page Speed Grade: (19%) F - YSlow Grade: (71%) C

After: Page Speed Grade: (98%) A - YSlow Grade: (89%) B

I still have a few things to fix but I think this is a pretty good start. It has made a big difference in how fast the site is and I'll be keeping up with the bandwidth usage to see what difference there is with that.
