Happy New Year and many thanks for doing your two videos on using the slider. They are very helpful. I hope you find time to produce more especially about using the picture style and using animation on them without increasing the size of the individual slide.
Thanks again.

Thanks Russ!

Can you explain a little more when you say "using the picture style and using animation on them without increasing the size of the individual slide"? Maybe give a little example?

Hello Jeff.
Thanks for response.

Picture Style is one of the two default styles given as templates by CC with RCS . The background style is what your videos were about.
What I was hoping to do was to create a slideshow of photos with supporting text and for them always to remain the same size ( ignore responsive aspect for the moment). Not sure what I am trying to do is possible but I was trying to do something similar to when you are in a graphics editor with a main image you are able to lay over other images or text without physically altering the size ( length & width) of the image.
I have created a file which has the photos and some text describing the photo which is ok ( the slides are all the same size) but I would like to add some extra text to supplement individual slides hopefully without having to alter each photo where I add an extra element.
Thanks.

Russ

I think I understand. I'll see if I can put something together. :)

In the picture style example click on the paragraph below the picture "The Caption and Image rotate" to select. Go to the design panel where it shows the paragraph you selected. Scroll down to the area that says position. The second box is highlighted for the position stating "relative" when you hover over it. Change that box selection to the 3rd box which is absolute. Now uncheck one of the up or down arrows and one of the left or right arrows below the absolute box. Begin moving where ever you want the position of the paragraph to be.

I just put up a short video that covers using picture elements and overlaying text. Hope it's useful.

Many thanks .
With help from you two I've learnt a lot. My next project is to put additional animated text on photos without altering the overall size of the slides.

Many thanks to you both again.

Thanks for the video Jeff - it helps a lot.

I haven't attempted to do it, but could the text elements on each slide be animated the way you've created these slides?

I built mine using background images, but I think your way of overlaying the images is better. Here's what I was able to achieve: https://patiopads.com/
