How do I give a Places gift so it can...

I bought Places for someone who uses the Cloud in various ways, but I don't know how to give it away. Is registration info embedded in the program as it's downloaded? I saw nothing of a key. I had an email from a Suzanne directing me to a purchase site and saying she could assist, but there was no specific email link for her, and I got it going into the holiday phone staff lacuna. Does anyone know how this is done, or do I wait for business days to resume?

Hey there,

If you would like to open a support ticket we can transfer the license over to the person you wish to gift it to. :)

We are technically "off" today and tomorrow, but we do check in to make sure you all are taken care of.

Adam,

Thank you for your reply. Since it can't just be sent to him as a file and nailed down as his by him registering it first, I gather that means it's linked with my name and mail. I think I first need to find out what address and exact name he would like used (if this type program is his cup of tea/coffee). Meanwhile, I think I'll ask a couple questions in some thread(s), if they're there, about what Places does with data that passes through it, in case he wants to weigh that.
At least now I know the path to giving it if it's his thing.

Thanks,
Joecu

Yes, the order is locked to your account. If this is a gift, we need that persons full contact information so that we can setup an account for them and associate the order under their name.

Scott,

All right, I'll see what's okay with him when I contact him. Thank you, also. : )

How do I go about 'opening a support ticket' to do all that? I don't see an obvious link, and at this point--what can I say-- I sort of need what's obvious.

Eric,

It remains to be seen whether the "giftee's" download and registration go without a hitch, since he hasn't had time to try yet, but your link *was* the correct one for the transferral. I guess I did see that site in looking around for a place to accomplish the task since Myroom was supposed to give personalized service; but, even located in Myroom, the terminology about "posting" left me wondering to whom I might be posting account information. I needed the word from someone who wasn't guessing, as I was, so thank you.

I appreciate the information from Adam and Scott also. I think it's Mission Accomplished.
