It's better once you get use to where everything is located. I wish I didn't have to keep checking smilies.:):)

It will remember your personal preference. So if you disable them, they will stay disabled. When you enable them, they will stay enabled.

Right now we have them defaulted to always on while we figure out a way to store the preference in a cookie.
