well thats not really the point though.... the whole point of it being dynamic is so that they are in absolute control of the content. I can advise, but what they choose to do is up to them not me.

I am trying to get a workaround to what I have been told by the support team is a known problem with the output of MenuBuilder software and was told that rather than it being an issue for the support team, despite it being a software issue, I should bring it to the forums which I have done until such a time as the fix had been rolled out and I was not given a date for when that might be.

so, and in answer to your last comment, this issue is happening regardless of the length of the nav point and is happening when you dont set a width to the sub menu

Hi Jamie,

I was just reviewing your menu issue. Those are some unusually long submenu titles. I don't believe MenuBuilder was designed to have full sentence + submenu items. In fact I challenge you to find any menu building software that will allow for these extra long submenu titles.

I would suggest you create your menu then customize it after you export it. I would open the menu and add some line breaks within the list items.

Of course this would have to be redone if you make any changes within the MB.

Thanks Steve. I hear you and if I was in control of them I would agree. However, the client is able to add and remove pages and is in control over what is used as menu item content

That being said, however, it isn't/doesn't just happen on these incredibly long ones but also on the much shorter ones as well......

Even if I could set it to a fixed width and the text gets wrapped accordingly but it doesn't..... It just shoots off the side in one line

Can you show me an example where a shorter title this happens?

probably the easiest thing to do is attach the files in a zip

if you take a look at the attached, if you hover over 'publications' in the MB preview window it looks fine but if you open it to preview it in, for example, you will see exactly what I mean.....and the temp menu content is MUCH shorter than that which is 'live' and in control of the site owner

If the content is dynamic you need to use a script unless the owner is going to call you every time they submit new content. You could easily add in line breaks with a script or come up with any amount of styling.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

With all due respect Eric I am still struggling to understand how the script actually makes any necessary change because, as you can see from this example http://clients.motley.co.uk/menu/short.htm compared to this one http://clients.motley.co.uk/menu/long.htm (on either just hover over 'Publications') the length is irrelevant - one is 'normal' sized and one is very very long and yet they both suffer the same problem which has to be css based...... and it is that css that I am trying to get to the bottom of as a workaround until CC decide to fix this issue

I didn't say it would fix it as is. I was focused on the dynamic part which is ultimately the biggest problem. If the content is going to change you need a script to make changes to the css for you. How do you want the data to look? The long narrow boxes are fine as long as all of the text is confined?
