I like the Rounded Steel Theme and experimented with it.

But there's a small mistake in the menu in the compact mode. The background color of the Submenus is the wrong color (orange).

See the picture.

Now... if you ever feel like making another one with a wood theme instead of steel... I would love it...

I saw that same Orange background a few days ago.

I made the theme (can you see how that makes the app even more awesome :)) and will upload new files with the fix later today. Thanks for the heads up!
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

I have no idea if these resources are the same for Win and OSX, but If not feel free to use the graphics to make your own menu. I don't really know what 'type' of wood you would like, but I was messing around with this a bit. It's rather easy for you to modify these menus.
Feel free to download this. It still needs some 'tweaking'...I'll leave that to you if you like

Thanks a lot for the woody menu. I was't sure how to use images as a background with that menu. I'll experiment with your version of the menu.

I'll post what I'll come up with...

I want to replace an old woody menu on a website to a more modern look. I'm a wood carver, so...

Maybe 1 last question... is there a precise picture dimension that fits better in a button. Or how can I calculate the needed dimension?

I am experimenting with all the options of the menus, but I didn't find an answer to that.

Thanks

I make mine the size I want the button as far as height is concerned..
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Ok, so I suppose that the minimum size for the picture is the size of the buttons, and the picture size is not modified to fit the menu buttons. In other words, top-left of the picture is top-left of the button.

I'll experiment with that tonight.

I just used repeatable background images of various sizes. Take a look at the images in the 'rounded_wood' resource and you'll see that most anything works. Of course, small is better ...:D
