I was going to ask the same thing.
Looking at some example sites posted in the other forum; am having nightmarish flashbacks of frontpage. Seriously, you can't hand these sites off to an end user if they can't easily add a menu item to their navigation:

<div id="menuBuilderContainer">
<div id="menuBuilder">
<button class="nav-button button bar transition_page"><i class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></i><span class="text_menu_link">Menu</span> <span class="secondary_text"></span></button>
<div id="nav" class="nav" >
<ul id="mainmenu" class="nav-collapse activate">
<li id="menu_1" class="menu_1 menu_items">
<a href="http://ilgirlsstate.org" target="_self">
<span class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></span>
<span class="text_menu_link">HOME</span>
<span class="secondary_text"></span>
</a>
</li>
<li id="menu_2" class="menu_2 menu_items has-flyout">
<a href="http://ilgirlsstate.org/overview.html">
<span class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></span>
<span class="text_menu_link">What is IGS?</span>
<span class="secondary_text"></span>
</a>
<ul id="submenu_menu_2" class="flyout submenu_menu_2 submenus"><li id="menu_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_1" class="submenus_items submenu_menu_2_items menu_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_2_sub_1">
<a href="http://ilgirlsstate.org/attend.html">
<span class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></span>
<span class="text_menu_link">Who can attend?</span>
<span class="secondary_text"></span>
</a>
</li></ul></li>
<li id="menu_3" class="menu_3 menu_items has-flyout">
<a href="http://ilgirlsstate.org/sponsor.html">
<span class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></span>
<span class="text_menu_link">Unit Information</span>
<span class="secondary_text"></span>
</a>
<ul id="submenu_menu_3" class="flyout submenu_menu_3 submenus"><li id="menu_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_1" class="submenus_items submenu_menu_3_items menu_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_3_sub_1">
<a href="http://ilgirlsstate.org/forms.html">
<span class="icon_menu_handle"><i></i></span>
<span class="text_menu_link">Forms</span>
<span class="secondary_text"></span>
</a>
</li></ul></li>

Look at those long lines of sub_ ! I am used to coding by hand. I should still be able to use SSI calls to isolate the top of page, bottom of page, and client ends up with a template of a dozen line of code top and bottom and placeholders to indicate where he edits his paragraphs
<! -- your code here; do not alter the above lines -->

But I can see the navigation menu will be tricky. I am used to setting styles on the div and ul and client only has to use an existing line as an example and do something like this to add a new page link into his navigation:
<li><a href="/newpage">New Page</a></li>

Methinks I have to warn them if they want a responsive redesign that due to complexities with these layouts, they will no longer be able to edit anything other than paragraphs and insert what will be centered photos; need to hire us to make edits to navigation, change to a different sized logo in the header, and change their hours in their footer, etc...

There's hope that the menu builder will get redone to eliminate the few bugs it has. I love it. Makes great menus in a short time.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Not quite the same issue but simular... I suffer from menu changes in Menu Builder having to be populated to every page of my Responsive Site Designer website. Presently, this is around a dozen webpages, however as the site grows I do not want to be updating every existing page just because I added a new page. Menu Builder will quickly become untenable as an option for larger sites unless menu's can be placed in master page headers, sadly not an option in RSD as yet.
