Is there a limit to submenus?

I have just downloaded the trial version of menu builder, printed out the manual and ran into a problem. If I can get past this and build the menu that I envision then life will be good and I will use the nice coupon (30% off) and purchase the program tomorrow.

The problem: I will have 12 buttons (Elements?) and on 2 of the buttons I would like to have 3 sub-menus on 1 button and 4 on another. I seem to not be able to get past 2 sub-menus on the button.
Is there a limitation on the number of sub-menus that I can have? If not how do I get the additional subs?

I have one more question but I need to get past this one first.

Thanks,
Steven

I don't think there's a limit.
What happens when you try to add more submenu buttons?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks for the reply.
OK will try to explain it.
Let's say the main button is 'one' and the sub is 'A' so I type in 'one' for my main button then the next space down I type in 'A' then move it over to make it a sub. Next is 'B', move it over. To check my progress I click on the main and the preview shows both so OK everything works.
Next I type in 'C' for my 3rd sub, move it, check it and BLAMO it's a main element.

Try clicking on one of the sub buttons then click on + button.

Hi Eric,
I have played around with it some more this morning and found that if I finesse the sub buttons around a bit they will fall into place. This may change as I get used to the program but I will try your suggestion first.

From all that I have read (in the guide) and what I have seen so far I will probably purchase it today sometime because I have to update my own web sites as they are woefully outdated.

The one I am working on now is for a ham radio club my wife and I belong to that I want to present to them as a concept because nothing has been done to the existing site since 2008! So this becomes a labor of love because I have not done any coding in awhile.

The menu builder is an awesome tool. I would keep your menu as simple as possible in the beginning as there are so many options to set. You will be able to build a great menu with little effort and with just a little more work build an awesome menu.

Good advice Eric - and I found another reason to start simple - I intended to duplicate the 3-level main/sub/sub menu on my existing home page (designed well before "responsive" was a serious consideration), then it occurred to me that as well as the current menu being over-wordy, 3 levels would be messy on a small screen.
From now on I will keep the K.I.S.S. principle in mind.
By the way, while playing around I couldn't move an element into a sub/sub position, is this possible with MB or is it limited to 2 levels?

The menu builder only has submenus at this point. CC is working on adding submenu subs but have been busy getting RSD ready for its full public release.

Eric and Zipper,
I am trying to keep it as simple as I can but that in itself is presenting some problems. I have decided to begin a new thread.
